I thought it was the time to post this as even if most of you know it already, it is good to sort out once and for all how we treat raiding. We try to be as fair as possible while make descisions that benefits the guild.
Some of the things I wrote here are just common sense - but I figured that I could as well write it as you can never be sure on what "common sense" means to everyone else.
Everyone is welcome to have opinions on this - even though we are Elders and semi-gods we CAN make one or two wrong descisions... theoretically. LOOTS:
- We use Master Looter to avoid misunderstandings and quarrels.
- You may roll for items that benefits the specc you usually use for PvE. If no one else wants the item you may of course have it for an eventual respecc, PvP or whatever.
- If you have re-specced from your usual PvE specc to help us out on this raid you might get to roll on items for both specces, depending on how willing you are to re-specc again and if people are fine with it.
- Situations
can happen when we want to give the loot priority to healers or tanks - for example when a T4 item drops and it would not be a very big upgrade for the DPS'ers but would give a lot of extra healing and Mp5 to that healer. The healer will in that case get +10 to rolls or similar so it will still be fair and meaningful for DPS'ers to join the raid.
- Tier items won shall be used for PvE specc gear.
SIGNING UP:
- If you are not entirely sure that you can join the raid you'll be put as Not Confirmed and will not be granted a spot. Confirm as soon as possible and you might still get a spot if it's not filled yet.
- If the raid is full but you still
will be online and available you can sign up as a reserve. Don't do that if you will not be ready to jump in during the night - reserves that aren't online are pretty useless to us.
- Things can happen, you can get ill, your internet can break down or a relative can suddenly decide to visit you. Just make a post about it if possible so we can replace you and we will not get upset. And apologising makes us even less upset.
SPOTS:
- We try to go by the rule: "Signs up first - gets the spot" and not take into account what gear, class and specc people have.
- Sometimes we make raids aiming for those who have not joined us before, were not with us the last time, etc. Everyone are still welcome to sign up but the mentioned persons have priority and may take spots even if they are already taken. Exchangable persons are marked with a * to be easily recognised.
- At some points we have to bring, for example, a rogue and will therefor be forced to bring a reserve rogue and exclude someone else. As far as it is possible we will exchange the person who signed up last.
AND SOME OTHER THINGS:
- The consumables in guild bank tab 3 are donated for EVERYONE in the guild to use on raids - withdraw what you need! And re-deposit left-overs. Officers can help you withdraw, but they prefer to do so a little ahead of the raid and not 5 minutes before it starts.
- Pay attention to what's said in raid channel and ask questions if there's anything you are not sure about!
- We have breaks from time to time. Respect those and don't go afk every 5 minutes to get snacks, beer, gravy, wallpaper and whatnot that you need. Of course you may run to the toilet - or you could just put in a catether like real players.
- HAVE FUN!
