Using ((OOC)) has always bugged me, for pretty much the same reasons.

I try and only do it if it's ABSOLUTELY necessary. Most of the time it isn't. People can still understand your RP even if yoru spleling is terribel. ((and it doesn't need an OOC bit like this to fix it))

Most of the time you don't need it though. A mistake is a mistake - correcting it ruins the immersion more than the mistake itself.

I'm all for the quick ((brb)) if it's something important, but if you do have the time to do it without touching /s, then I see no reason not to do it.

As for correcting your spelling... I really only see a need to do that if a) your typo changed the meaning of what you said, or b) it was so horribly bad that you can hardly read it. In the latter case, it might be time to start practicing. Or stop drinking. Of course, as always, anywhere is better than /s.

Let's not get started on actual OOC conversations in brackets in /s though...

It wasn't directed at you, Kim. You get the free pass as long as you do as well as you can. Razz

Just don't go correcting yourself in /s for no good reason, or I might have to kill you.
