UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!!

These addons are not forced upon you as a member of the guild. Some of them are needed for raiding and instancing and others are mere suggestions and tips. Feel free to answer to the post with ideas, questions and addons that I have missed.

ROLEPLAYING ADDONS:

ImmersionRP (or similar)
http://downloads.curse.com/details/4372/
To see other players descriptions on their charcter you need IRP or another RP addon. Make sure that you read this before use (also contain links to similar RP addons):

PVE ADDONS:

KTM Threatmeter
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/4204/
If you want to come for a raid this addon is a must as it will show how close you are to getting aggro so you can adjust your dps in order not to steal the aggro from the main tank and cause a whipe. It is also useful for the tank so he or she can see when the healers gets aggro and need protection. Not having this addon almost certainly means auto-wipe in raids.
Very useful also in ordinary instances and definately in heroics.

Deadly Boss Mod
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/4940/
This addon shows the cooldown of bosses' abilities. It will also tell you when you are standing to close to another player at Maiden of Virtue, when Moroes will disappear etc. If you plan to come to a raid - download.

I would like to come with some suggestions, first of all, remove Duckie bank from the list since they introduced guild banks. Smile

Add "Cartographer" to the list as well as "Gatherer".

Gatherer is well known already in the guild. It simply marks deposits, herbs, barrels of milk and all of those thing on the map. Yes the map can get crowded but you can turn off herbs if your a miner and the other way around, or both if you don't need either. The deposits and herbs are shared with the guild, party and raid so that your map of nagrand will be updated by Sammak mining there, while you're leveling your level 14 tauren mage in stormwind keep.

Cartographer, is a great addon to keep track of your guildies and raid members. It shows the location of the guild members on the world map as long as they got the addon too. It works with Gatherer, and it gives loads of info on the char when you mouse over them. class, level, name, guild note, officer note (if your allowed to see it). And it gives you the whole map so no dark spaces where you haven't been, it simply won't allow you to see the name of the place. It comes with coordinates ofcause. It includes instance maps and battleground maps too. Think thats about it.

That's my suggestions for now. (not sure this is the right place for this)

I'd highly recomend Omen instead of KTM for PvE, it's alot more acurate for fights involving multiple mobs and it gives you a nice big warning when you're approaching the top of the threat meter.

Also for raiding, especially healers, I'd recomend CT_Raid. It shows up all the members on the raid on your screen in neat little boxes so you can click on them and heal, decurse or whatever you want to do. It means healers can heal more than just group 1 or 2 and it's neater than using the WoW interface and dragging everyone out individually.

Personally im using Xperl instead of CT_raid i think it's far better, learn the colors and you know what to despell, like magic effects are blue, posion green, curse purple and so on. You can even change it to a "healer mode" where it displayes the amount of damage the target has instead of the remaining life. so it makes it easier to decide what heal is most appropriat.

And yes Omen is far better than KTM, KTM measures the overall aggro, where Omen measures the aggro gain on the specific mobs, like a moroes fight, i KTM showes the dps' aggro from the adds even while fighting moroes himself which makes it very unreliable, omen doesn't, and it seems to update faster, and gives you the warning like Tak said.

I've never used Xperl as CT_Raid is a required addon for the guild I raid with. But CT_Raid, at least the version I use, has colour coding for different things that need dispelling.

But an addon like that, be it CT_Raid, Xperl or whatever is useful
